Chapter-Specific Patches
If a VRA chapter would like to wear a custom patch
that uniquely identifies their riding club, there are
two options available:
NOTE: The VRA logo is trademarked and cannot
be altered except as noted below.
Custom Patch - Option 1:
A chapter can design their own patch to be worn in addition to the
standard VRA logo patch. Custom patches must be approved
by the National VRA. Below is an example of the custom patch designed by the
Vegas Vulcan Riders:

As show below, members of the Vegas Vulcan Riders wear a standard 4" VRA
patch on the front and their chapter-specific patch on the back.

Custom Patch - Option 2:
Contact the
National President to request a custom patch design consisting of
the official VRA logo surrounded by an outer ring
with the chapter's name, location and/or chapter number.
As a consideration, 4" custom patches will need to be ordered through a
local vendor with prices ranging from $8.00 - $9.00 each. Standard 4"
patches can be ordered through the VRA for $5.00.

Wearing Patches
No chapter location bars, territory rockers, or
anything giving the appearance of a rocker should be
worn with the VRA patch.1
The manner in which a patch is worn indicates what
type of club someone belong to:
2
- A one-piece patch signifies a family club, riding club, AMA-
sanctioned motorcycle club or political action/biker rights
organization.
- A two-piece patch signifies a motorcycle club in transition,
awaiting approval from the dominant MC club to become a three-piece
patch.
- A three-piece patch signifies that the club is a "motorcycle club"
but not necessarily a 1% club. With very few exceptions, the club has
been approved by the dominant motorcycle club in the state or area.
Observing these traditions within the motorcycling community helps maintain order and can avoid trouble.
Officer Patches
Some chapters buy a patch for each officer (President, Vice President,
Secretary, Treasurer, etc). Since officers are elected yearly,
consider an officer pin. We found some
here
but we are looking for other vendors. (Please email
webmaster@vulcanriders.us
to recommend a link).
Another option would be to buy "dog tags" for each officer. They are
easy to wear/remove and handing them over to the new officer could be
viewed as a symbolic gesture. Here is
one link. (Suggest another).
If you have any questions regarding patches, read the information at the
