  • Rding Out a Flat Tire

Basically....Don't panic, don't hit the brakes, slow down, get over to the side, apply "opposite of flat brakes", stop and get it fixed...

Good information, thanks.. its always good to be reminded what we need to do to save a little skin when things go wrong. We cant rely on our memories to be certain we get it right...theres not a lot of time to make the choice that will ultimatly result in allowing us to ride another day. This kinda stuff should be required reading for all riders

Good info ,my brother in law experienced a blow out at 70 mph on the highway last weekend and got off the side of the road safely (had a passenger as well ) it is recommended to use your front brakes easily to transfer the weight off the rear ,he did and said that and some divine help saved them..

Sound advice. It is still scary as all get out having a blow out when you're riding. I even get a little nervous in the car because I'm uncertain how people are going to react to me and if they will be paying enough attention.
