  • Loading the bike for a trip...

and it doesn't matter if it is one night away or a month long trip. There are just certain things you want to bring.

I carry spare keys, photocopies of important documents and licenses, and spare cash.

I organize all the gear into watertight lightweight dry bags and then distribute them on the bike so that the heaviest stuff is at the bottom of the saddlebags and the lightest stuff is in the trunk. Helps the bike's handling remain constant.

That's an impressive list. While scrolling, I thought I saw 'cannon'. I was sorely disappointed when I went back and it wasn't on the list...

I don't need to write cannon down. Never leave home without it.

              Yeah, Yeah, Yeah,

I just got in some wicking, fast dry socks. All that synthetic fast drying gear means I don't have to carry as much clothing since I can wash it in the sink or bathhouse and let it dry overnight.

I haven't got down to just two sets of clothes, but getting close.
