    Congrats on the new bike!

"Near" is a relative term, but you're only about 25 miles farther than my daily commute, so that's not too bad.

Re: New Rider From Southern California

Yep, been riding to North Hollywood & now Glendale daily for a little over a year, about 62 miles each way. The office just moved here so I'll be taking the train most days but still ride when I need to.

The mileage has been adding up quick this way.

My favorite quote that I read somewhere is something like "Nobody on a motorcycle ever asks 'Are we there yet?'".

Wow that's awesome! Must be a nice ride. Does it get pretty windy? I hit these patches on the freeway that feel like I will just blow away haha. Guess I just gotta get used to that feeling. Hahaha I love that! And it's very true I feel like I can just ride and ride and never wonder if I'm there yet. Although the longest I've ridden so far is about 45 minutes lol

Yeah, it's pretty windy, especially in the afternoon & early evening. You just have to kind of go with the flow. Some days I'm definitely leaning left to go straight.

Vulcans are really great! I never really heard of them before. I of course wanted to go all out and get a harley but I started researching all the different bikes and fell in Love with the Vulcan. I got the 2012 Vulcan Classic and I am in love with the paint job. The pearl white with olive/charcoal color. It looks amazing and drives amazing! I'm glad I found this forum so I can see all the stuff you guys have done with your bikes. Gives me great ideas :-)
