  • Newbie's Everywhere!

Even here in Killeen, TX! I've been lurking around for a little while, but finally speaking out. Been a vulcan rider for 5 years. Had a 900 custom until recently I traded for a 1600 classic. In the process of making it reflect me.

Welcome! The Lone Star Rally is in Galveston this weekend. Unfortunately I won't be able to go but if YOU do, please let me know about the good time you had!

I love The Lone Star Rally. I am a member of CMA and used to live in Texas City so I worked the rally for a few years. Haven't been in the last two years. In my opinion it's one of the best rally's out there.

              Re: Newbie's Everywhere!

I just got a call from a friend who lives in another state. He said he would be upset if I didn't make the Rally. He also said going on Saturday isn't as bad as I think, "you're surrounded by friends," is his statement.

So, I dunno. . . that sure seems like a lot of bikes on such a tiny Island. . .

It's truly not that bad getting on and off the island. The downside is parking, one year we had to parking in a parking garage just off the strand, but it was worth it. Just don't try and cross the bridge Friday around 4-6pm, or Sunday around 1-3pm. Once most of the bikes get on the island they are there to stay.

                  Re: Newbie's Everywhere!

I would be coming via the Ferry. . . I've done that several times and it's great!

I'm thinking that they will be running at least 2 ferrys and they can probably pack the bikes on them so it shouldn't be too long a wait.

I'm still undecided, guess I'll wait 'til closer to time. . .
