  • Hello from Mt. Juliet, TN

Hello, I came across this site by accident. I did notice the rally and plan to swing by. My wife and I will be in a chalet near Pigeon Forge that week. I have my new intake installed and plan on having the Hard Krome 2 into 1 Sideburner installed by the end of March.

Can't wait to meet some new friends.

JC ... good to hear from you. Sit down and take a load off. I'm not sure how many of the folks here know how to make a good cornbread but may be you can share the old family recipe. Nice to meet you!

Cornbread? You want cornbread, my grandmother could make some good cornbread. All from scratch, with no recipe. She was from Kentucky, her parents from Tennessee.

Actually, I make a lot better cornbread than any restaurant, they make bread with far too much sugar and far too much flour. One of my favorite Winter Sunday meals is cornbread (with lots of butter) and pinto beans, that all, just cornbread and beans. Of course, followed by a few beers watching football on TV.

Around Greyhawk, Ky. There is a yearly reunion there, but I never seem to be able to make it. Something comes up every year, even though I make plans to go.

Chili, made correctly, is another great meal and cornbread is the best thing to have with it.

Actually, the recipe on the cornmeal box isn't bad, but you have to cut down the sugar to about 1/3 and instead of using mostly flour (as in the recipe), use a 50/50 mix of flour and cornmeal.

Well, if you ever do you're only about 50 miles from Lexington and right in the middle of some off the best roads in the state.

I know, beautiful country, and I really enjoyed the rally there last year. I'm making plans, again, to go to the family reunion there. Hopefully, this year I'll get to go. If so, I'll post on here, and perhaps we'll get a chance for lunch while I'm there.
