    Here's a pic, I hope.

Its only just 7000 ks. It won't stay lookin' as good as this for long cos its just so much fun to ride. Never had one, never rid one. Just can't believe how damn good it is.

Goodonya mate, thanks for the reply. There are a few things I need to know, cos the damn thing is eighteen years old but its only done 7000 ks so I need to know about the POG and whether I should regrease the final drive and any other suggestions I can get from you blokes.

It is awesome to ride. I went for a ride today and punted past a few blokes on sports bikes. The thing handles surprisingly well, although I have to admit I scratched me Vance and Hines up a bit.

Well, have no fear, there are some great guys on here who are very knowledgeable about the bikes and how to work on them. I am one that does enough to get by but has someone else do the major stuff. But someone will be along here with some answers for you!!

And for a cruiser I agree the Vulcan is a great handling bike. I have the Voyager and even with all the extras on it, it is very easy to handle!

Enjoy!! Just don't scratch up those V&H too much!!!

          Re: G'day, Doonie 'ere.

Great looking bike ,i love my 1500 a10 ,as for the pog older models had few troubles with them for some reason, the failure rate was higher in the 97-99 models mine still has the pog and has 46000 miles on her just changed the clutch and still looks good,i would change the rear end fluid as well as the antifreeze .....just because of age ,might want to look at the brake and clutch fluids as well they break down over time ....

            Re: G'day, Doonie 'ere.

Goodonya mate. I was hopin' that might be the case with the pog. All the fluids have been or will be changed in the next few days. I intend to have a look at the pog at about 15000 and just check it as I go along. Any suggestions re the eighteen year old grease in the swingarm and final drive. I'll leave it if the general consensus of opinion is that it will be OK.

            Thanks a lot.

                          Re: G'day, Doonie 'ere.

Goodonya guys. Friendly buncha buggers aintcha. (g) I changed all the fluids today, diff oil, engine oil, coolant. The clutch and brake look pretty good. Only changed a few months ago apparently. New battery. The bastard won't start unless it has a ton a charge. I'm guessin' the starter motor uses shitloads and doesn't leave enough for the plugs if the battery is down a bit. Shooden madda now with a newy.

Here's a thing I noticed, wooden mind some feed back. I pulled the needle jets outta the carbs and found that they were sloppy and that there wasn't any adjustment. Found numbers on 'em so I'm guessin you adjust by puttin' different needles in. If so, where do I find assorted jet needles? I made some packers outta gasket material to pack the needles so they aren't sloppy and it seems to have lessened the pop and fart on over run. Any advice or info would be grouse. Also, there's a bit of noise down low on the right side of the engine on start up but it goes away when its warm. Anything gunna blow up in there?

                          Thanks heaps.

Should I direct these questions elsewhere?

                          Cheers,

                          Doon.
