Here is mine. As of yesterday, we moved to a new, complicated, attendance system. New policies and procedures and tracking. VERY hands on, and I have to spend a good part of time entering things I do that are not production, or that time will be restricted as "missing from work"......

I'd go into more detail, but we aren't slated to get trained until next week. ..... My boss won't be trained until the end if this week.

    100%
What makes 100%? What does it mean to give more than 100%? Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%? We have all been to those meetings where someone wants you to give over 100%. How about achieving 103%? What makes up 100% in life?
To consider these questions mathematically, let use represent the alphabet numerically by identifying sequence of letters (A,B,C,...,X,Y,Z) with the percentages (1%,2%,3%,...,24%,25%,26%).
    Then
    H-A-R-D-W-O-R-K = (8+1+18+4+23+15+18+11)% = 98%
    and
    K-N-O-W-L-E-D-G-E = (11+14+15+23+12+5+4+7+5)% = 96%.
    But
    A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E = (1+20+20+9+20+21+4+5)% = 100%
    and
    B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T = (2+21+12+12+19+8+9+20)% = 103%.
And just look how far ass kissing will take you:
    A-S-S-K-I-S-S-I-N-G = (1+19+19+11+9+19+19+9+14+7) = 118%
So, one can conclude with mathematical certainty that while hard work or knowledge will get you close to 100%, and attitude will get you there, it's the bullshit and ass kissing that will put you over the top.

Must have been one heck of a restroom break if he was able to do that much damage Too much chili and draft beer the night before?

Note on my desk this morning from the night crew "Had a small accident last night"

We are doing renovations in a hospital, so lots of work above occupied areas etc. Someone dropped their pliers through the ceiling.

To cut overhead rates we've changed the way we get IT services. Anything other than a standard laptop of software load is supposed to get charged to the project needing it. One of my performers needed some software installed for some a recertification training. The IT system wouldn't accept any of the valid contract, purchasing, or labor account numbers. Out of frustration he entered KISSMYASS, the system accepted it. Luckily I was in my office when the request came in for my approval. We don't know if anyone saw the request before I switch the charge to TBD while we figure this out. The individual is one of the top performers in our business unit - been here 25 years. We immediately had a chat but if someone else read it before I made changes I may not be able to protect him from HR - it's been 3 days and quiet so far except word on the floor spread fast and other managers heard about it that may rat him out.

I had gotten an email from my boss the other day telling me he wouldn't be in because of the weather.
He sent it from his work computer.

They sure do and I like the way the kids get along after work too. They have many late night pool parties here after their shift, so we get to know the kids and their parents.
