I am only familiar with two bikes really. My second is the 900. They seem pretty torque'y' out of the hole and leaving fools behind at lights I gotta admit is tempting. Just watch out that "the new 'shirrif' in town ain't around" (See below)

I think I know what cherry stuff you are talking about. If it is the same, it is pretty loud, and should have your hard bags smellin' sweet in no time.

It's not the most powerful bike out there and certainly not the fastest bike, but then again if I really wanted that out of a bike, I would have gotten a VMax or something.

I'm quite happy with it, and I wouldn't trade or sell it for the world...not even a newer model!

Hahah, he's too precious! Hope he isn't in my neck of the woods, I'm known for my speeding (not by much though).

Yeah, that cherry stuff comes in a small can. Pretty potent stuff. I love it. When I bought my used car, there was this wonderfully sweet smell coming from somewhere that I couldn't find. After a few months, I went to put my gun below my passenger seat and realized there was a hidden compartment in there! There was the source of my wonderful smell. ^_^

No, they are not considered a big, fast, or powerful bike by most nowadays. The bar keeps getting moved up. Still, I liked just about everything it offered except no 6th gear. F/I, belt drive, pretty good clearance, and decent power and weight numbers. Not to mention how sharp they look.

And thanks...I think so too. That is my youngest, Joey. The pic is a few years old on Halloween. Neatest, sweetest little dude around these parts. (Yup, I am 100% biased) Here is a newer pic at the range with his old Dad and big bro. Looks like a Yugoslavian Partisan huh?

OOOOOO! She rides armed! That's a double threat! A lady that rides and packs a gat! NICE! What do you carry? I'm a NRA pistol instructor if you know anybody looking to get their concealed firearm permit. I'm a total supporter of our right to keep and bear arms! Keep it up!

Oinker, just have to ask. Does you nickname derive from your being a LEO?

Yup, that's why I wanted a 900 and ONLY a 900. I was approved to get a 2011 Shadow Phantom, but why would I want to pay more, for a lot less..and for something I didn't love? My 9 is all I need, sharp as hell too.

Wow, how old is he at the range in that pic? That's what kids need, to be shooting and hunting at a young age. Proper care and handling at a young age. Yup!

              Hahah.
I did have a Sig P245, but it was really a bit too much bite for me, so I down sized for the mini 1911 version, the Sig P238. Only 380cal but that gives me a good excuse to put more than one round in em.

I also support every right to keep and bear arms as well. I won't get into a political debate on here, although I'd love to know others' thoughts on the subject, but there's no way anyone is taking my right to protect myself and the people I love. ^_^

Must retire young down there, you don't look old enough to be retired. Either way, you'll have plenty of time to ride up to Iowa for next years VRA rally.

                      Re: Greetings from Central Florida!

I chose to retire early while I still had my health. I want to be around to see my boys grow up. Was assigned to Street Crimes Units and a Gang Suppression Task force, all high risk stuff. Started to get injured a lot and was sick of the political environment, so I bailed. Not a bad change in the long run. Less stress and a lot more time for me and the family.
                      Best regards and ride safely,

I have to admit, though, Glock has my vote. It has been a proven system and has bailed my ass out a time or two.

Very understandable, any LEO handles a lot of very dangerous situations, even a simple traffic stop could be deadly, to be assigned to gang suppression would seem to be very dangerious. Family is first priority, good for you.

                                Same here.
I was watching a show where they were comparing US Navy Seals to the Israeli Special Forces. They are both pretty bitchin in their different styles of fighting and weaponry. However, in a close quarter and far distance fighting, the Seals use the Sig and the Israeli's used the Glock. The Sig was spot on with every shot and was fast. The Glock was VERY inaccurate in comparison.

Plus, the glock is too...blocky for me. I like the smooth rounded edges of the Sig. It's a better fit for my body anyway, plus it looks damn good and is reliable. Not to mention the price was right.
