  • Gravel in the road

Beware of the gravel and sand in the roads, I hit some saturday and laid my bike down . It slid right out from under me, gone before I knew what what was happening . Didn't get hurt to bad just sore today and the wife got some road rash on her elbow. So keep a good eye out for road hazards. Ride safe.

Glad to hear your both, for the most part, ok... Hope the bike made it out of it without to much damage, and ur right about sand and gravel, the roads are covered with it here in CO. They have had the street sweepers out, but we need some rain to bad!

Glad to hear your OK. Like Scotty, it's common here as well. Some towns clean up the sand from winter and others don't. It will lay in some intersections all summer regardless of rain. The best thing to do is call the town, county or whoever is resonsible and let them know there is a dangerous condition on the road. Once they know about it they are responsible to fix the problem.

The crashbars did their job, just some scraps on the bars . The wife is done good and I'am still a little sore and back to work so all in all everything is good. call the state and was told that they will get to it ASAP so it might be winter before we see them doing any thing about this but thats just life I guess, if your not personal friends or family of someone high up in the state your just a number to them.I just got to be more careful and keep my eye on the road more.
