Re: Should You Change Your Tires?
I use the pucker gauge and don't wait for the wear bars. I ride hard with a goal of no chicken strips. If I pucker and think it's due to declining tire performance it gets changed.Bob Howley "ICE CUBE"

Re: Should You Change Your Tires?
Nice. A bit scare-tacticish, but good info. Having been an engineer making snowmobile tracks, there is more to "dry rot" and cold tear than what he said. Also, running a tire to cords doesn't endanger you to air loss. You have at least 3/8" thickness left, albeit of 40 euro rubber. Typically 71 to 74 is the outer casing rubber.
That said, if you don't trust the tire, change it. Otherwise you'll be thinking of it and not riding.James "Bierkan" Vierkant 1-0-454A-1500D
