  • how to help the economy

If you spend your money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China or Sri Lanka.
If you spend it on gasoline, your money will go to the Arabs.
If you buy a computer, it will go to India, Taiwan or China.
If you buy fruit and vegetables, it will go to Mexico, Honduras and Chile.
If you buy an efficient car, it will go to Japan or Korea.
If you buy useless stuff, it will go to Taiwan.
If you pay your credit cards off, or buy stock, it will go to management bonuses and they will hide it offshore.

However, if you spend your money at yard sales, or go to a ball game, or spend it on prostitutes, American beer or tattoos….the money goes to US businesses....

Conclusion: To help the economy, we should all go to a ball game with a tattooed prostitute that we met at a yard sale and drink beer all day!

If I skip the ball game and the beer I'll take two prostitutes home with me from the yard sale.

unfortunately, there is no such thing as american beer anymore, except for the micro breweries.

Re: how to help the economy

I've tried a lot of beers, and for the last 10 years, my favorite is Leinenkugels, a regional beer made in Wisconsin. We can buy it in about everywhere here in Iowa.

Not really a microbrew, and they've been in business since 1867. Motto on one of there brews used to state, "Still brewed in Chippewa Falls by 73 people who care."

Unless there isn't anything else around, I usually do not touch the so-called beers made by the large breweries.

In March 2009, InBev purchased Anheuser-Busch for $52 billion creating Anheuser-Busch InBev N.V. (AB InBev) as a publicly traded company, based in Leuven, Belgium.

Brands under this name include Stella Artois, Beck's, Budweiser, Quilmes, Brahma, Labatt, Alexander Keith's, Bass, Natural Ice, Busch, Guaraná Antarctica, Rolling Rock, Jupiler, Leffe, Hoegaarden, Staropramen, Michelob, Spaten Franziskaner, Löwenbräu, Kokanee, Tinkoff, O'Doul's, and others.

Miller is now SABMiller based in South Africa.

The 2 largest brewers were AB and Miller before they were bought out by smaller companies from overseas.

The only US owned breweries now are the regional breweries such as are mentioned earlier and the micro (craft) breweries with Sam Adams being the largest US owned brewery.

OK I can live with this I ride a bike made by a Japanese company so I'm good, Belgium they make beer there right? Not Germany, but right next-door, it's not like Taiwan or China bought them . You see I've fallen in love with Michelob Amber Bock beer, got it in my kegerator Some of the best stuff I've had since leaving PA. Now yous-guys in PA. need to try Yuengling Black-n-Tan beer or any beer by Yuengling for that matter that is some gooooood stuff. Yuengling is the oldest American brewery (US not North there is one in Canada that is a little older). Whenever I go to visit my sisters I try to bring back a case or 5
