  • Sign of Age?

have you ever been guilty of looking at others your own age and thinking, surely i can't look that old.
    well . . . You'll love this one.

my name is alice , and i was sitting in the waiting room for my first appointment with a new dentist.

i noticed his dds diploma on the wall, which bore his full name.

Suddenly, i remembered a tall, handsome, dark-haired boy with the same name had been in my high school class some 30-odd years ago.

could he be the same guy that i had a secret crush on, way back then?

upon seeing him, however, i quickly discarded any such thought.

this balding, gray-haired man with the deeply lined face was way too old to have been my classmate.

after he examined my teeth, i asked him if he had attended morgan park high school .

'yes. Yes, i did. I'm a mustang,' he gleamed with pride.

when did you graduate?' i asked.

he answered, 'in 1975. Why do you ask?'

you were in my class!', i exclaimed.

    he looked at me closely.

    then, that ugly,

    old,

    bald,

    wrinkled faced,

    fat-assed,

    gray-haired,

    decrepit

    son-of-a-bitch

    asked,

    'what did you teach???

Some of these days, you youngsters will realize just how true this can be. Unfortunatly, even looking in the mirror these days, reminds me of some old fart that's looking through the window.

Went to lunch with a friend a while back and this cute girl asked me if I wanted the senior discount I'm only 45, but what the hell saved me a $1.50

I can't wait to start getting my senior citizens discount, just as long as they don't also give me less food with that less money.

That's an awesome one Debi! LOLOL.

When do you get a senior citizen discount? 65 or does it vary? I turn 40 in June so not too long to go...

                Re: Sign of Age?

The first time I was offered a "Senior discount", I was about 50 and was taken aback by anyone thinking I might be old enough to use that. That was so long ago, I don't even remember the restaurant's name.

It's all good, quite often the same amount of food for less money, next come retirement, where they pay you for not working, then comes the ability to forget all those things you never wanted to remember anyway (makes it very convenient for anniversaries and birthdays).

I'm hoping the retirement comes before the senior discount. Oh wait, I am kinda retired right now, just not by choice.
