    A $40,000.00 FUNERAL
    Jim died.

His will provided $40,000 for an elaborate funeral, no less was to be spent.

As the last guests departed the affair, his wife Janis turned to her oldest and dearest friend. 'Well, I'm sure Jim would be pleased,' she said.

'I'm sure you're right,' replied Brenda , who lowered her voice and leaned in closer. 'How much did this really cost?'

'All of it,' said Janis .. 'Forty thousand.'

    'No way,' Brenda exclaimed!
'I mean, it was very nice, but $40,000?'

    Janis answered,
'The funeral was $6,500. I donated $500 to the church.
The whiskey, wine and snacks were another $500.
The rest went for the Memorial Stone.'

    Brenda computed quickly.
    $32,500 for a Memorial Stone?

    How big is it?'

I'm donating what's left of my body to science. Organ doner, whatever else. My wife will get back ashes when they are done with it. No funeral expenses.

All in, it's something few people think about until we get older, nobody likes to think of the end.

I have parts donated that are usable, then to be cremated, then just toss me out on the next long ride.

Long time ago when I was driving over the road a very dear friend at his request was buried with his semi. That was his request and his wife honored it. I can't imagine what kind of red tape you would have to go through now to get that done.
