Researchers Discover Source of Hair Regeneration

A type of stem cell associated with the development of new fat cells, called adipose precursor cells, was necessary to regenerate hair in mouse models

Earlier this year, researchers from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine found that the depletion of a certain stem cell (thought to be a progenitor cell) may determine male pattern baldness. Now, Yale scientists have made a new discovery that could yield new treatments for baldness.

Damn skippy. I may have to shave my head couple times a week but it beats having to pay through the nose for some damn idjit to 'style' cut my hair. BAH. Beside, think of how being bald is aerodynamic on the bike.

It's called hair plugs and dye, you too can ride around with a full set of jet black or in my case, reddish hair forever.

Too much trouble! I know that my dye jobs would be different every time. I want to be "natural" A few pills or injections and everything goes back in time.

If the research keeps going, we will be able to chose the way we look. You could be thinner, more muscular, smarter and able to leap tall buildings with a single bound. Why depend on the luck of the draw?
