Pretty funny. I have run down to the store after crawling out from under the truck and attempt to hold the door open for a lady who proceeds to turn around and start walking the other way. Then I catch a glimpse of my grease stained clothes and unshaven face in the door glass and go uh huh.

LOL you could not find a better bunch of folks any where, we try to make sure small kids/moms / dads get up front 1st... ruff looking bunch thought.... LOL bikes of all kinds / makes there even a few scouters....

I guess we aren't as fearsome as the CMA. When we stop, usually we get people looking at and asking about our bikes. But then we aren't 50-70 bikes strong. Nice you get that many going out

It's funny how people react. 20 or 30 years ago it was a bit different I think. There are so many bikes on the road nowadays, and so many that adopt the 'biker image' it's not as jarring when people come across it. It is funny how differently people treat you depending on how you're dressed. Leathers and torn jeans def gets a more negative response than suit and tie from most any business.

Back in the 80s, it was not unusual for me to ride to work in a 3 piece suit. Oddly, no one was afraid of me. Of course, Marcus Welby, MD was on TV and his assistant (James Brolin) did the same thing.

Years ago went on BIKE CAMPING TRIP WITH A Doctor. two patternmakers, a lawyer and two other professionals and were turned away at two campgrounds because we are bikers.

You wnat to have fun? Some friends I ride with all the time went to a IHOP during a ride , we had our leathers on and duerags on and went in to be seated . Well they sat us in a crowded secontion and within 15 min the place cleared out completely. We had the hole place to ourselfs. Now was it the way we were dressed or did everyone just done eating at the same time or what?
