Future Vulcaner?

On Monday Ian, our 4 year old, found out about and got to ride on the new 1600 Nomad. During the ride home he started the conversation:

Do we get to keep it?

Yes.

What about the other one?

I am keeping it for most days and this one for longer trips.

Like when we go to the beach?

Yes but we cant all fit on it.

Well Sayward (my wife) and the others (brother & sister) can take the car!

HAHAHAH - Typical kid!!! My Son would ride anywhere on the bike with me. He is a little older, but has brain damage so he is not your typical 22 year old. He would think the same thing!!! :-)

My son is 22 and Autistic. He rides with me, and we get some looks from people because you don't typically see two grown men on a bike together, but I just say to myself "f_ck them" they don't know they situation and I don't care what we look like, we are enjoying the ride.

THAT'S the right attitude. If everyone worried less about what other people were doing and more on having fun themselves the world would be a lot happier a place. In my book I've always said as long as you aren't hurting anyone else GO FOR IT if you enjoy it!

My son is 22 and Autistic. He rides with me, and we get some looks from people because you don't typically see two grown men on a bike together, but I just say to myself "f_ck them" they don't know they situation and I don't care what we look like, we are enjoying the ride.

AMEN BROTHER!!! I have never really thought about what anyone else might think. It's just my son and I enjoying the ride and having fun!!!! And my son loves it, I love it, so that's all that matters!!!!!

Good attitude guys! I think the people that gawk or talk behind your back are possibly more ignorant (to the situation) than rude (although some are just a#@ holes). And if they took a minute to talk with you they would understand and be more sociable. The main thing is you and your son/daughter enjoying the ride and spending time together!!

Absolutely. I do think that I might have to get a bigger bike, because I go about 250 and he goes about 195 and that's a lot of weight on the old 1999 Vulcan 1500.

Well I am about 300 and my son is about 200. That Voyager does a wonderful job!!! :-)

My Dad rode behind me once...on my girlfriend's bike. I"m guessing a few people were laughing at us but that's ok 'cause we were laughing harder.
