  • Hey!

First time logging on. I have a 2003 meanie and owned it since beginning of 2014. Absolutely love it!

Now, I'm going to have a look around here and see if you have something for newbies to drink and snack on.

Welcome to the VRA forum. I have an '07 Mean Streak. It is a keeper. That is coming from a guy who has never kept a bike longer than 4 years.

      hi 2wheel,

I was winding down my # of postings @ riderforum and a handful of guys got pretty ugly.

First thing I was told there when I joined was not to be a douche bag. I found out why... there are already quite a number of them there. Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome! We'll try to be in our best behavior. They have chips and dip over on the Meanie forum, but stay away from the sushi at Slick's pics. See you down the road...

Thanks for the welcome and looking for a great spring/summer on the meanie.
I love riding close to water and hoping to see lots of it... somewhere.

                        Re: Hey!

I know this may sound kinda strange but I've given it a lot of thought.

I just took up riding a few years ago and at 55, I'm looking into the future. How many years am I going to be able to ride with decent focus, dexterity, and quick reflexes?

I want to be able to retire in about 6 years and ride like crazy. While I love the meanie, it is the riding, the experience, the newness that I love. I've found a device that can deliver me where I need to go.

I have my parents to compare to. So, if I can find a way to keep mind and body healthy, I'm hoping for at least 20 more years to enjoy riding.
