Hello to all. My name is Russell. I've been loosely following the forum for six months but actively more so now. I've been active on other model specific forums for the past decade.
I live in Cullman. I took the Basic Riders Course in maybe 1990 and have been riding ever since. Last year I moved from a Mean Streak to a V2K.
During my ownership of the MS, I developed a close relationship with Paul Fuller of Fuller Precision, a local talented machinist and his machine shop. He is my neighbor. Not long ago he made some custom parts per my design request for my MS. From those projects Bad Ace Billet, Paul's new venture, was born. So far his parts have been targeted toward the MS and V2K with some being universal across the Kawasaki line. As time and opportunity allows for the taking of measurements of other Vulcan models, he will offer custom products for the other models.
I may refer to Bad Ace Billet in the "we" form occasionally but this is only because he credits me with motivating him towards the custom motorcycle parts path. He is the total brains, talent and muscle behind his company. I am simply a friendly, consumate neighbor who readily reveals his talents to the world when able and when appropriate.
My careers have involved military service and healthcare, directly and academically. My Dad, brother and I all bear combat patches on our dress greens, with the 1st Cav patch adorning Dad's and mine.
Medical issues limit nearly every aspect of my life although I value the potential to live it to its fullest, whatever that may be. Those medical issues instantly shrunk the world as I know it. I anticipate expanding it yet again through friendships here. I hope to call many of you a dear friend and look forward to shaking as many of your hands as possible.
To those who have founded, maintained, participated and given, in order to have the VRA and this forum to which I post, I thank you.
