Hi all. Thanks for letting me join your forum. My name is joe and I'm from reno nv. My dad just gave me his 05 1600 classic. I've ridden moto for a long time but this thing is a whole new animal!

So the bike he gave me only has 3k miles on it and I thought I should get it it in to kawi for a battery and tires since it has sat so long. While I was there they up sold me on some cobra longs and a power comander. I pick it up tomorrow. I'm so stoked!

The ride From my dad's place to the dealership is about 30 minutes and I was grinning ear to ear the whole time. Anyhow just wanted to introduce myself and maybe meet some folks to ride with. I'll be lurking around...

Welcome to the forum!! Hope you enjoy your Vulcan for many a mile!! There was a guy looking to start a chapter up near Reno but he seems to have vanished. I am certain there are other Vulcan riders out there around Reno if you gather up a group you can start a chapter, and then head to the West Rally in Vegas!! Okay okay maybe I am getting carried away take your time to get acclimated to the forum and then do all that other stuff!!!

It's a nickname I can't live down to save my life. There's a line in the movie My Cousin Vinny where someone said "Vinny bag of doughnuts".

Fast forward a few years and a guy on a job site hollers "what's up Joey bag of doughnuts" my boss heard it and I've owned that stupid name for 15 years! I guess somewhere along the way I learned to embrace it.
