Okay first question. What does this mean?

"Your account has been activated but you are currently in the moderation queue to be added to the forum."

That means pretty much what Kickstand said. Once you confirm your email address one of the forum admins goes in and takes a look at your profile info to make sure it looks legit, and accepts or rejects your profile. We do on occasion intercept scammers trying to get in the door.
