    i joined the fourm the other day im kinda new all the way around
    just got my 98 1500 classic about 4 months ago. its my first bike other than dirt bikes as a kid
    it has lots of chrome not bad for the price but anyway
    howdy all and look forward to riding with yall and meeting new faces

              Welcome aboard abbazaba1979 enjoy the site. You've started with a great bike on the 1500 Classic. You've got the 98 Classic, and there is but one issue with that particular model. That is the plastic/nylon oil gear. If it's been replaced, you've got a lot of fun miles left in the old girl. If not, there is a simply way to check and just as simply to replace.

              Ask if there is any doubt about it being replaced or not.

              Since you're in NC, can't be too far from the rally there by the 'Tail of the Dragon' in July this year. Hope to meet you there.
