Re: New Member In Tucson, Arizona
Welcome to the Vulcan Riders Association!
I am the Secretary of the Phoenix Vulcan Riders. We are located in the Phoenix metro area. Keep an eye on the Phoenix Vulcan Riders area of this site as I try to post our monthly rides and meetings.
This Saturday we are riding from Kelly's Kawasaki in Mesa (leaving at 9:30 am) up to Heber for lunch at the Red Onion restaurant. Some of us will stay for the fireworks and spend some time over the weekend hanging out at our Road Captains cabin/property. If you have any questions, you can PM me on this site or here is a link to our Yahoo Groups site: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/...xvulcanriders/
It's nice to have somebody down south on this site.Bryan (Big B)

Re: New Member In Tucson, Arizona
Thanks for the warm welcome and Thanks for the advice Fly! I took it out today and had a blast. Taking things slow and easy for now. Crawl before you can walk, walk before you can run. I'm 6'2" and about 330 lbs so I wanted a bike that was big enough....guess I've got one!!

Re: New Member In Tucson, Arizona
You do have the right sized bike...
Be warned it comes from the factory set up for a 150Lb man. Adjustments need to be made to the shock. 6'4" 280Lbs here.

Re: New Member In Tucson, Arizona
You will need a spanner wrench and a standard screw driver. Under the driver seat is the shock. Tighten and test ride until you are comfortable with it. The shock has a double lock. Loosen the outer most and tighten the inner, then lock down the outer.
Tightened the rebound screw in small increments until you like it also.
I have read of others replacing the shock for a stronger aftermarket one. These are kinda pricey. Also your local dealer can help you set this up...for a few.JC
