Hi,

I'm Ron from Cincinnati,..just joined yesterday....no 'Nick" I'll just go by RP.

Have a "99" Drifter & a "00" Nomad..........also a BMW,& an older Yamaha.

Am familiar with, & a member of AMA~life, VROC,VDOG,KAWANOW.

Also two BMW groups.

I heard?...years back that VRA was kaput?...then I happend upon the web-site yesterday.....glad to see it , back?...the site is sure nice.

Fly!...are you the same Fly that used to ride a Connie? If so we had a drink together in Kanab,Ut a few years back......

Anyway, I'll be checking in here regularly.

VRA been going strong for years now and continuing to grow with local chapters...

I don't want to speak for Fly but he the same one you indicate.... i would have thought you would have erased the memomory of him long ago as he is a seedy sort j/k

Ron, don't listen to DaBull, he secretly thinks I'm wonderful. Yep, On our "Fart and Fly Across America" trip, had the occasion to make 2 rallies and put a lot of miles on the Concours. Still got the Connie, added a 900C just for the v-twin feel and sound.

That was a fun rally in Kanab, got to meet and revisit a lot of folk from the Western side of the US and even some from Ohio. Very nice accommodations there, possible a place for our annual rally one of these days.

As to the demise of the VRA, there have always been the 4 chapters and 3 of the original chapters are still around. When we lost our website and forum, there just wasn't any communications among the chapters for awhile. Through the hard work of Slicks, Dabull and a few others, we've gained a lot of people in the last couple of years.

Welcome to the forum, glad to see old friends show up occasionally, and jump right in to any of the threads.

Yes I remember meeting Fart at that Kanab rally,..decent sorta guy.

I [think]?? perhaps some of my trouble raising VRA in the past ,..was the use of ....[dare I say it]..web-tv. And, some others i spoke with said it was gone? Glad it's not.

I just got this lap-top a few months back....yes i know I'm way behind the tehno,8ball.

Well anyway, good to hear from ya,..I'll be pokin' my nose in here, thanks for the welcome......
