marshall u coming to funbike center in lakeland to the Florida 1-2 chapter meeting ??? Aug 20, at 9:00 am with ride to follow. The our group would love to meet up. We made national this year wonderful time with everyone.didn't know there was a group in hudson..........

Ew..I don't have a rain suit anymore. I kept burning them on my old pipe, even the nice Frog Toggs. :|

I'm a wee bit afraid of riding in the rain, and I'm still afraid of some turns/curves. Sad..I know.

Hi from New England! An 07, 900 Custom huh? (Me too) And don't be ashamed. I am pretty new to motorcycling too and I ain't exactly wild about riding in the rain. I've done it, and will do it again, but will avoid it if possible. I say keep on being safe so nothing happens to that pretty bike and pretty face!

I'm not really..ashamed I guess. I've been riding since 2005, so I have some years of experience. I just, hate it. It scares me half to death. Riding from Daytona back to Lakeland in pouring rain and no stops, it was a number done to me. I think my boyfriend's father finally got the hint to time things better and to not purposely ride us in the rain.

I could never forgive myself if I laid my gorgeous bike down!

I love them too! They're quite nice. I'm not even sure if they're tailor made or if they're easily available for purchase, since I haven't seen them before. They're lined with carpet too, which is weird...because they have the PO's smell in them. *barf* Heheh.

I probably should've used a different word but I know what you mean. (I started riding in 2007) You can get caught short and then every vehicle on the road is going to show those smart-alec motorcyclists just who-is- who by riding 2 inches off our rear tire.

I try not to think about laying mine down but with the rotten roads here, it is always in the back of your mind.

At least the PO had them painted to match the bike. I was talking to another guy who has hard bags on his 900, which is green like mine, and he said the paint job cost more than the bags. (I forgot his name but it is oa helluva nice 900) But with two boys runnin' round the house I just can't afford any add-ons. But if and when I can, a seat and hard bags are the only other things I want to get.

Maybe cram some "Stick ups" or Little Green Trees in yours until the PO's BO goes away!

Ew, yeah. That's why I love having loud pipes. I always win. I had a little fun showing off yesterday on my way home from work. Had an ass of a driver next to me in a big ole truck revving and jack-rabbiting trying to show off. Now, I'm not one to show off, but I left that jerk in the dust...and I was a lot louder than he was. Showed him who's boss.

Yeah, there's always something in the road or something wrong with the road when you're out there. Maybe that's why I'm afraid of my turns, I'm always afraid there's something there that I can't see until it's too late.

Yup, the bags are quite nice. That's one thing that attracted me to it. I haven't seen these bags anywhere and they're a lot more roomy than they look. I shoved a load of cans from the grocery store in them and still had room for my purse, my jacket and some other goods. I need to get the paint touched up. There are some scratches and dings here and there. Nothing too bad, but it irritates me to see them messed up. I'm so OCD. :|

Ooooh, now I have a good idea of what I'll put in them. There is this little can of cherry smelling stuff in the automotive stores that just smells divine! I'm buying those to put in there!!

peajinks..Not sure if I will make it on the 20th or not. There is a benefit ride for the fallen Hernando County deputy that died in the pursuit last month on the 20th as well. Really want to meet you folks, but I also feel inclined to support the family of a fallen brother officer. Maybe you guys might want to take the benefit ride as well? Would be a great show of support from the Vulcan crowd. Let me know and I can give more details if interested.

oinkers, the ride is a wonderful thing. as a club we shown much support to the fallen officers in the area, and will continue to do so , but in this case we have givin our word so be some where on the 20th please thake our heart felt support with you on the ride please post the ride info he forum......thanks hope to meet soon

Sorry to say, I have no idea! I've been trying to find out. I haven't seen them anywhere online. When I bought the bike two weeks ago, they came with it. I'll keep looking, but so far no luck as to the make.

I hear ya, I mean, waht you are writing, not your pipes...(rimshot, take my wife ...Please!)

I am only familiar with two bikes really. My second is the 900. They seem pretty torque'y' out of the hole and leaving fools behind at lights I gotta admit is tempting. Just watch out that "the new 'shirrif' in town ain't around" (See below)

I think I know what cherry stuff you are talking about. If it is the same, it is pretty loud, and should have your hard bags smellin' sweet in no time.
