  • Another New Guy

Hi My name Is Jerrod Miller, I currently live in Junction City KS. I'm a member of the US Army. I just bought my first Kawasaki in March, Got me a 2009 Vulcan 900 Classic LT and I love it. Only thing on my bike now that wasn't on it when I rode home from the dealer is a POW flag. I Love the bike and love riding so anyone around this area that wants to go for rides let me know.

Thanks for your continued service, welcome aboard the forum. The 900 LT is a great choice, and I wear my POW patch on my vest.

Luzerne is a little farm town of 96 people. About 35 miles West of Cedar Rapids, IA on Hwy-30, The Lincoln Highway. And about 4 miles South of Hwy 30. Move on down to Luzerne, good fishing, great corn, and the living is easy and the farmers are laid back, but so "by God stubborn, they can stand touching noses for week at a time, and never see eye to eye." From the "Music Man", but quite true, in case you're forgotten.

If you're retiring, really think about the Luzerne area, I need someone to ride with during the week.

I wish, I'm only 31. Once I'm done here and go back home I can go to the National Guard for about 5 years and retire that way. Just gotta go back to a civilian job this active duty isn't for me and my family.

Know what you mean. 4 years in the Navy was enough for me, then they extended me by 4 months, and as I tell people, allowed me to see E-4 twice. Once going up and once coming down.

Family life is hard in the military, I really feel for the wife and kids of the military and saw far too many divorces as a result.

Fly, Thanks for your service, I know I hear it all of the time but a lot of the folks that were in a while ago didn't hear it near enough. Ya it is really hard on the family I have 4 kids and missed my last one being born. It sucks but someone has to do it, my turn is almost over for this though. Just cant wait to have a normal job again and not worry about when I'm goin to the sand box again.
