I picked up my new ride a week ago, stepping up from my 2000 Suzuki Marauder to a brand new Blue and Silver 1700 Nomad. If the next 100,000 miles are as sweet as the first 100, I think I've found myself a new home! Looking forward to meeting other Vulcan riders on the road and at meets.

Welcome Doc, I got your contact information from the MVVR website. The Hudson Valley is a bit a ways from us here in the Mohawk Valley, but it would be great to meet up and ride. I sent you an email last night. Your gonna like the 1700.Albie Salsburg (1700 Rider)

Re: Hello from New York's Hudson Valley
Hi Doc, I'm a little further up the Northway and you have to hang a right at Glen's Falls to get here. Big tip 'o my hat to someone who just got what I hope to have someday. The Nomads are awesome!Christian - Vermont -

Re: Hello from New York's Hudson Valley
Thanks to all for the warm welcome. Looking forward to many miles of riding pleasure on my new Nomad and lots of camaraderie with like minded riders. I've been in e-touch with Albie of the Mohawk Valley Chapter -- a bit of a ride, but certainly not too far to join in on a ride or occasional get-together.

Re: Hello from New York's Hudson Valley
The month of July was a study in contrasts around the nation -- bone dry in the southwest and record setting rainfall here in the northeast! Unfortunately for me and my new ride, I've barely got 300 miles on the odo in the time I would normally have put on 1000. Still, those 300 on the new Nomad have been great fun! Looking forward to many thousands more -- particularly with my August 31 retirement date looming just a few weeks away! Thanks again for the great welcome into the VRA and the forum.Fred (Doc) Peck
