Thanks. Well since you asked....lol. where's the bestplace online for brake pads for my 1600? I like bike bandit but they seem to sell them separately which to me doesn't help.I want the pair. Its an 06 for the record.

Re: New member from Long Island

I think they sell them separatly because some bikes have only one front brake or the same pads may be used on a rear brake. I don't recall seeing any sold in sets for a dual brake setup. You will probably have to buy 2 for the front and 1 for the rear, which on my bike is different than the front

Funny because my rear pads still have plenty left on them as expected. But to get 29k miles on the stock pads? I'm quite happy with that. :-)

                        Hello neighbor,
Being rather new here myself, it is nice to see another member from the Empire State. I grew up in Hicksville but I've been up in Rockland for the past four decades. As to brakes, the fronts account for up to 70 percent of your stoppiong force and the pads inevitably wear a lot faster than the rears. Good luck with your search.

Nice. Hicksville is 5 minutes away from me being in seaford and all. I ended up using bike bandit and bought the front pads. Used my ama discount as well and they shipped them within a day which is nice. ;-)
