Just bought a 07 VN900C for the wife, this is one great bike. The 1st. thing to do when you buy a bike is to check out the forums for the bike, this one is really good

My bike is a 02' VTX1800S with 60,000 and multiple mods... Car tire, batwing, 1300 final...

With 60,000 on the VTX, heck, you should be ready for a Vulcan yourself.

The VTX 1800 is a good bike and probably last quite well, but really can't touch the handling of the 900C. Since the country around Eagle, NE is about as flat and straight as my part of Iowa, cornering isn't really an issue though.

Thanks for the welcomes, I've seen your patches on rides.
Yea, Nebraska and Iowa are flat, but I'd have to say that Iowa has better curves. Seems like when we want curves here we go to the Loose hills in Iowa.

Come on out to the 2012 Rally in the NE part of Iowa, we'll show you some roads very similar, if not a bit more curvy than the Loose Hills. I do like Western Iowa and even Northern NE for riding, but lots of flat land must be covered to get to either.
