Newb With a Question - Go Figure

I'm pretty new to the forum. So far I've pretty much just been lurking in the shadows reading a lot of posts. And there are a few things I'm curious about.

For instance, I see that some people have stars appearing below their names. Others have pictures of maps with different states colored in. Is there anyplace on the site that explains these? If not, I would appreciate any help.

The maps can be found by searching the internet and in most cases show where we have ridden our motorcycles in. checking on the stars thing.

The stars have something to do with the number of post made.

Only the cool people have stars....LOL Just kidding. I think the more posts you have, the more stars you get.

The maps are created on another site, and placed in your signature line.

Funny how things change. It used to be that guys who spent a lot of time online were considered to be kinda nerdy. Now it's a symbol of coolness, lol.
