Looking at a new purchase on the 900 Classic. I am a long time rider of many different bikes. I currently own: 99 GSF1200, 2003 Ural Retro, Buell Blast, Vulcan 500 and Kawasaki Versys.
The 900 seems like it would be a nice mid-cruiser with enough power for some long rides.
Since I am a knowledge junkie, I hope to gain valuable information about the bike and maybe help others if I can.

HI Thumper, the 900 is a great ride runs all day, every day. the only blip I have with the 900 is it could use a 6th gear or different pulley to drop the rpm,s on long rides. I hear there are rear pulleys out there now. swear J- A- Pan company thinks all we do is stop light to stop light drag race...

Ended up pulling the trigger on a new/old inventory 2010 1700 Classic. Got a pretty good deal from my dealer I think.
I forgot how it is to ride without a windshield and bags though. I would have gone for the LT, but I was looking at about another $3k over what I got the Classic for, so what the hell? I can outfit it cheaper.
Anyway, reading up on some of the posts here.
