New from NW Iowa

Just a quick intro:
Got back from Afghanistan this past August after being gone for about a year. Actually bought my Vulcan Nomad while I was overseas and had my father-in-law go pick it up. I had a Honda Shadow Aero 750 before that and did a few long rides and an Iron Butt ride and decided I wanted a big bagger, so I got my Nomad. In the process now of adding a fairing and will have that done by Spring.

Got a big trip planned for this summer. Me and a few buddies are going to visit all 99 of the Iowa courthouses and take a picture of our bikes in front of the courthouses. Should be an awesome ride!

Well we are planning on taking it June 14-17. According to Streets and Trips, we will be in Muscatine around 10am on the 15th (Friday)

I plan on posting a more detailed trip log when it gets close. Hope we can meet lots of people on the way and maybe get a few to ride along for some parts of it

Planning on camping. Depending on how far I get with other mods on my Nomad, I might get a hitch then we can have a bigger tent for the four of us in a trailer, otherwise I will use my Army combat popup tent and try to borrow three others for the other guys I'm with
