I am new to the forum and returning to Kawasaki after 20 years or so. I had an old Kawasaki when I was a kid, then a Honda Shadow 500 back in 1990. I sold it and haven't had a bike since. I was driving to work a month or so ago and saw what looked like an old 40's era bike, with wheel fairings coming out of Ft. Hood. I didn't know what it was, but it really spoke to me! When I got home, I started Googling 1940's motorcycles and came across HD Flathead and Indian Chiefs. The Chief was the closest to it, so I narrowed my search and started looking at pictures of them. I found a picture that was exactly like the bike I had seen that morning and was very surprised to discover that it was actually a Kawasaki Vulcan Drifter 1500. I started browsing Craigslist and 5 days later, I bought one. I've had it almost a month and I love it.
Here It is, my 2001 Drifter 1500, with 13,500 miles on it. I am also looking for a solo seat for it.
